Dear Brethren,
I write to you now the behalf of my slack efforts to update the website in the recent past. With finals at school and then coming home for the summer and getting a full time job, its just been hard to find time to sleep recently let alone update the site. But good news today I have off from work, so I will do my best to get the site up to speed in recent events including housing affairs and also getting brother bios up online.

If we only had a break.
by admin on Apr.07, 2009, under Pictures
Every year the Greek community here at Embry Riddle decides that there should be a competition of sorts, displaying the skill and talent of each individual Fraternity and Sorority, whom partake in various events over a weeks worth of time more commonly known as Greek Week. DX in the past has taken home the trophy over all more than any other Fraternity on campus. More recently our push to victory has been rather limited. But in the spirit of living up to our former brothers we still hold one event to the highest regard. We have been reining Tug-O-War champs every year since i have been on campus, and this year we tried to continue our dominance in rope pulling. The first few rounds were easy for the tug team which consisted of Nolan Tenaglia, Nate Pohlman, Chris Hogan, Kyle Haeseley, Chris Cowan, Dan Gonchar, Scott Cunningham, and Justin Denucci, they slaughtered the competition. Soon they were handed their first loss by EX the leaders in Greek Week and the top seed in the tug of war. Not to be discouraged the boys stepped up and demolished every foe next and entered the finals against EX. The boys got a five minute break between their last tug and the first tug of the finals where they creamed EX in what seemed like five seconds. Then the judges decided that no further break was needed for our war torn men and that it was fair, although EX had one pull in fifteen minutes and our boys had pulled, and won, twice in five that no break was needed. So our exhausted boys stepped up for one last round but exhaustion got the best of them and after holding out as long as possible were vanquished by EX. Next year we shall once again get the chance to become Tug-O-war champs. Can we succeed? Here are some pictures to go along with the epic story.
Regional Leadership Conference
by admin on Mar.13, 2009, under Upcoming Events
Last month, the brothers of Delta Chi visited the Georgia Tech Chapter for the 2009 annual Regional Leadership Conference. Led by the regent Bill Tallman, chapters from all over Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee attended the conference. Bill Tallman, graduate of Embry-Riddle class of ’95, was elected the regent at the 2008 Regional Leadership Conference in Tampa, FL.
The brothers attending the conference were sophomores Andrew Kirkwood and Christopher Hogan. Also in attendance were freshman Nolan Tenaglia, Stephen Hohs, and sophomore Kevin Sonta; all three are new members of Delta Chi.
The conference was held on the beautiful Georgia Tech campus in the heart of Atlanta, Ga. In addition to visiting the chapter house, we met with brothers from the Alabama, Augusta, Georgia, and many other chapters. The biggest part of the conference was the Dynamic Recruitment workshop presented from Phired Up Productions. Hosted by Matt Mattson, the Phired Up team gave us an interactive, comical, and innovative demonstration to an effective way for recruiting higher quantity and higher quality members. The closing dinner for the conference was wrapped up by closing words from both Bill Tallman and the national president for Delta Chi, Tom Horowitz. The rest of the trip was spent enjoying the chapter house and the Atlanta night life, followed by the six hour car ride back into Daytona the next morning.

Broomball
by admin on Mar.12, 2009, under Pictures
Every semester the brothers of Delta Chi like to do an event called Broom Ball. Normally it is a fun brotherhood event where all of the brothers get together to beat each other up in a friendly game that is a mix between hockey soccer and kick ball. Although most of us wake up the next day sore and bruised, with scratches and scrapes that we cannot account for, Broom Ball is in short our favorite event. The last two semesters, though, we decided to make this event a social with the lovely ladies of Theta Phi Alpha. It has been to our great surprise that the ladies like to get just as rough as us guys and also actively participate in this event. We hold it at Artic Zone ice rink located on Ridgewood in Daytona Beach. If you would like to schedule an event there like the one we hold there you can visit their website at www.arcticzoneicerink.com/
